Benefits claimant admits subsistence income scam

A DISABLED man is scamming the taxpayer out of a princely £75.75 a week, it has emerged.

Former care worker Norman Steele does not so much as lift a finger to receive the sum, equivalent to an annual salary of £3,939, which he lavishes on a lifestyle of utility bills and Lidl sausages.

Speaking from his home where he lounges around completing job applications and watching terrestrial channels on his 28-inch colour TV, Steele was unrepentant.

“Yeah, an industrial injury that I never got compensation for means I can’t do most jobs. Thank God there’s a state safety net,” he said, a mocking smile playing about his cruel features.

But the UK’s sizeable population of embittered bastards were eager to criticise Steele’s grasping as ‘like something from Shameless’.

Sales manager Wayne Hayes said: “I am unable, or unwilling, to grasp that this is a very small sum to live on. This f**ker probably drives an Audi A3 and eats unicorn steaks for his tea.”

Cashier Carolyn Ryan agreed: “The thought of anyone out of work getting anything at all, however minimal, makes me sick. My life’s shit so why isn’t his?”

Ryan then used the phrase ‘end of’ as though it in some way validated her resentment-based conclusions.

Oliver O’Connor said: “I don’t know anything about Norman’s situation, but I haven’t let that stop me having a vindictive, judgmental opinion which is as follows: he should have to complete at least 900 job applications a day while walking 12 miles wearing lead clogs.”
